About the STNT Refresh Plan
1. What is the ST News Tablet Refresh Plan?
The ST News Tablet Refresh Plan is a subscription that includes full ST digital access and a Samsung Galaxy tablet.
Under this plan, you return your tablet at the end of each 24-month term and receive a new device every two years through a simple return-and-replace process, upon successful contract renewal.
2. As an existing ST News Tablet subscriber, must I return my device if I switch to the Refresh plan?
If this is your first time subscribing to the ST News Tablet Refresh Plan, you are not required to return your existing tablet.
3. Will I receive a new tablet when I subscribe to the ST News Tablet Refresh plan?Â
Yes, a new tablet will be issued once your subscription has been successfully processed.
4. How does the tablet return-and-replace process work?
We will contact you with instructions on how to return your tablet. Once the return is completed, you will receive a new Samsung tablet as part of your next subscription term.
5. Can I cancel my subscription early?
Early termination may be subject to charges in accordance with the subscriptionâs terms and conditions. Please refer to the full terms and conditions for details.

1. How is this different from the regular ST News Tablet Plan?
Both plans include a tablet device and the same ST digital content subscription access.
The key difference is how the tablet is treated:

With the News Tablet Refresh Plan, you return the tablet after 24 months and receive a new one upon successful contract renewal.

With the regular News Tablet Plan, you keep and own the tablet you receive, with no device exchange included.
Both plans come with a 24-month subscription term.
2. Which plan should I choose?

About the Samsung tablet device
1. What tablet model will I receive?
You will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ (Wi-Fi) with your subscription.
2. Do I need to pay anything upfront for the tablet?
No. There is no upfront cost for the tablet. The device is included as part of your monthly subscription fee.
3. What is the warranty period for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ (Wi-Fi) Tablet?
A standard one-year manufacturerâs warranty from Samsung is included.
For any questions about your device -Â such as insurance, repairs, or warranty coverage - please contact our device partner, Cinch, directly, as they manage all device-related support and billing.

4. Does the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ (Wi-Fi) tablet support a SIM card?
No, the tablet does not support a SIM card. However, you can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi.
5. Can I customise the lock screen interface and wallpaper?
During the minimum 24 month subscription period, the lock screen interface and built-in The Straits Times wallpaper cannot be customised.
Tablet delivery/return process, replacement of devices
1. How does the home delivery of News Tablets work?

2. What if I return the device and itâs damaged?
When you return the device at the end of your subscription, it will be checked for damage beyond normal wear and tear.
If the damage is repairable:
- Youâll need to either pay the repair cost or choose to purchase the device instead.
- The repair charges will be billed directly by our device partner, Cinch.
If the device is damaged beyond repair:
- Youâll be required to purchase the device.
- If payment is not made, the account may be referred for collections. Cinch will bill you directly.
- Your subscription will end only after all outstanding device charges have been resolved.
We recommend handling the device with care to avoid any additional charges at the end of your subscription.
3. I lost my device/ need a replacement. How?
Should you need a replacement of a device, please do not purchase a new set from any other channels, as we will not be able to install the SPH Tab (News Tablet) application on devices that are not purchased directly from SPH. Contact SPH directly at 6388 3838 to purchase a new Samsung device.
