Who is eligible to Subscribe?

The promotion is open to:

  • Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents.
  • Foreign workers residing in Singapore with work permits/passes valid for at least 24 months from the date of application.
  • New subscribers, existing "Vendor" subscribers, and current month-to-month or term subscribers.

Can I opt for a Full Payment?

Yes, you can opt for a full upfront payment option ($2,155.60 for STAD/ STADP^; $2,227.60 for BTAD/ BTADP^). Please contact our Customer Service Team via circs@sph.com.sg or 6388 3838 if you opt for the full upfront payment option.

 

^Not inclusive of monthly delivery charges at $3/4/5, depending on residential type.

 

What happens after the 24-month minimum period?

Your subscription will automatically convert to a lower pricing model:

  • The Straits Times: $29.90 per month
  • The Business Times: $32.90 per month

Note: Monthly delivery charges ($3, $4, or $5) still apply for print subscriptions.

 

What device do I receive, and can I choose the colour?

You will receive a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with 512GB storage. It is available in Cobalt Violet or Black on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that colour selections cannot be changed once payment is complete.

Can I change the device colour after payment has been made?

To ensure timely delivery for all our customers, colour selections cannot be changed once payment is complete.

How and when will I get my device?

We will deliver the device to your delivery address. Please note the info below.

 

  • Fulfillment Start: Deliveries begin on 6 March 2026.
  • Timeline: You will receive your premium within seven working days of the fulfillment start date (6 March 2026) or successful subscription date, whichever is later.

Receiving your device & NRIC requirements

Do I need to show my NRIC to receive the device? 

Yes. You must be physically present during delivery and present your NRIC (physical or Singpass copy) and your Redemption Email (digital or printed) for verification.

 

What if the name on my application doesn't match my ID? 

The name on your subscription application must match exactly with your NRIC. SPH Media reserves the right to withhold delivery if the names do not match.

 

Can someone else receive the item for me?

Yes, the item may be released to an authorised representative at your registered address, provided they can show your physical / copy of your Singpass NRIC to verify your identity and provide any other documentation SPH reasonably requires.

 

Does the device have a warranty?

Yes, the manufacturer provides a 12-month standard product warranty. You must keep your SPH Redemption Letter + Subscription Order Acknowledgement to claim this warranty directly with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Please refer to https://www.samsung.com/sg/support/warranty/

 

What happens if I cancel my subscription early?

If you terminate before the 24-month period ends, you will be required to pay:

 

  • An administrative fee of $20.
  • An early termination fee of $1,530.

How do I cancel my subscription after the 24-month period?

You must provide at least 30 days' notice. You can do this by:

 

  • Post: Writing to Customer Service at News Centre, 1000 Toa Payoh North.
  • Phone: Calling 6388 3838.
  • Email: Contacting circs@sph.com.sg.

How am I billed for this subscription?

If you subscribe today, you will be required to pay an upfront fee of $598 + 1 month payment of your news package. Subsequently, you will be billed $64.90 or $67.90 per month, depending on the news package you’ve selected. Please see the example below.

If you subscribed on 15th March and selected The Straits Times All-Digital package:

Subscription : $64.90/30 x 17 = $36.78

One time Charge  = $598

Total: $634.78
