"It’s not every day that your brand get featured on the news", said Ms Valerie Tan, Marketing Manager at Sealy Asia (S) Pte Ltd.
When The Straits Times journalist traveled to Sealy’s Research and Development facility in Brisbane, Australia to understand the processes behind their innovative mattress design, specifically engineered to enhance rest, and subsequently crafted a news article, Ms Valerie recognised the value of this coverage and seized the chance to amplify the reach and impact of the coverage.
Sealy Singapore now has these news plaques placed at 14 boutiques and key stores across Singapore, proudly showcasing their coverage. The strategic placement of these plaques not only serves as a constant reminder of Sealy Singapore’s excellence but also allows customers and visitors to appreciate the accolades garnered by the brand, solidifying its reputation as a leader in the mattress industry.
How did you leverage the news coverage to drive your business?
The news plaques have served as useful visual tools for our customers to know that we were featured in the news. We’ve realised that customers do seem curious and stop at the news plaque to read more. We’ve also purchased the licensing rights to place the news feature on our website. Aside from that, our sales teams also use them as an enablement tool during their interactions with customers.
"The news coverage has helped to increase our customers’ confidence in our products and reinforce our brand credibility, which ultimately guides their purchase decisions."
How did you come across SPH Media’s one-stop plaque and licensing service?
We initially wanted a high resolution digital copy of the news coverage and learned that we required licensing rights to publish and display it publicly. It was then that we decided to use SPH Media’s one-stop plaque and licensing service. Since we intended to display them at a customer-fronting space, we opted to get the licensing rights as well.
How was your experience with SPH Media?
It was very smooth and easy! Joanne, the Account Manager from SPH Media Archive Sales team, was helpful in advising us on the usage rights and was prompt with her responses. We received the plaques within two-weeks and was able to catch on the hype to maximise readership of the article.
