Standard Terms and Conditions

1. Participation in this subscription promotion is subject to the terms herein (the “Specific T&Cs”) and the Standard Subscription Terms and Conditions available above (the “General T&Cs” and, together with the Specific T&Cs, the “T&Cs”). In the event of any inconsistency between the General T&Cs and the Specific T&Cs, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail.
2. This promotion is for Lianhe Zaobao News Tablet Package (the “Package”) and is valid during the period commencing from 15 January 2024 to such date as may be determined by SPH Media Limited in its sole and absolute discretion (the “Promotion Period”), for persons in Singapore who agree to subscribe for, and maintain their subscription in respect of, the Package for a minimum subscription period of 24 months (the “Minimum Subscription Period”), subject to the terms and conditions set out herein. This promotion is not valid with other promotions and bundle deals.
3. Eligibility
This promotion is open to all Singapore citizens, Singapore permanent residents, and foreign workers who reside in Singapore and have work permits or passes which are valid for at least 24 months from the date of submission of the subscription application.
The following table additionally sets out the groups of subscribers who are eligible for this promotion, and how their subscriptions to the Package will take effect.

Subscribers who have an existing subscription plan for Lianhe Zaobao News Tablet which is subject to a minimum subscription period that is expiring (“Expiring News Tablet Contract”), and have been invited to renew their subscription |
You may elect to: (a) renew your Expiring News Tablet Contract and subscribe to the Package for a new Samsung News Tablet Device, or (b) renew your Expiring News Tablet Contract for content-only without a new Samsung News Tablet Device. |
Existing Month-to-Month Subscribers, Existing Term Subscribers, and Renewing News Tablet Subscribers are collectively referred to as “Existing Subscribers”.

5. To qualify for a Samsung News Tablet Device (“Device”):
5.1. you must take up a new subscription to the Package or add on to your existing subscription package in accordance with the T&Cs;
5.2. you agree to and shall maintain your subscription to the Package without any change to your subscription package for the entire duration of the Minimum Subscription Period (where “Minimum Subscription Period” is defined in paragraph 2 above to mean the period of 24 months) applicable to your subscription; and
5.3. your duly completed subscription application form must be received by SPH Media Limited during the Promotion Period.
6. SPH Media Limited has the right to determine your eligibility for this promotion at its sole and absolute discretion and its decision thereon shall be final and binding. Each subscriber is eligible to receive one Device per subscription.
7. The Package is as follows:
7.1 Minimum Period of Subscription
A Minimum Subscription Period of 24-months applies to all subscriptions to the Package. Subscribers who terminate their Package prior to the expiry of the 24 months will be subject to the early termination fees as specified in paragraph 15 below.
7.2 Subscription Fees
Subscribers to the Package under this promotion may opt for different modes of payment of their subscription fees, as set out in the table below.
Subscribers who opt to make monthly payments of their subscription fees for the Package (i.e. subscribers who choose the respective options (a) in the table below) shall be collectively referred to as “Recurring Subscribers”.
Subscribers who opt to make one-time payments of their subscription fees for the Package (i.e. subscribers who choose the respective options (b) in the table below) shall be collectively referred to as “One-time Payment Subscribers”.

8. SPH Media Limited has the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute the Device with another device of similar value.
9. Ownership
9.1. (Applicable only to Recurring Subscribers) All rights, title and interest in and to the Device shall pass to the Recurring Subscriber only upon (a) receipt by SPH Media Limited of full payment of the subscription fees and applicable Package fees for the contractual period of 24 months and (b) satisfaction of the configuration requirements under paragraph 10 below (the “Configuration Requirements”). Otherwise, subject to paragraph 11.1, SPH Media Limited retains all rights, title and interest in the Device provided to each Recurring Subscriber and the Recurring Subscriber agrees not to re-sell or assign his/her interest in the Device during such period. In the event that the Recurring Subscriber terminates the subscription to the Package before the expiry of the 24-month contractual period, the termination fees in paragraph 15 below shall apply.
9.2. (Applicable only to Recurring Subscribers) At the end of the 24-month contractual period and upon full payment of the subscription fees and applicable Package fees and provided that the Configuration Requirements are satisfied, the Device will be the sole and exclusive property of the Recurring Subscriber.
9.3. (Applicable to One-time Payment Subscribers) Subscribers who make payment of the subscription fees in respect of the Package via a one-time upfront payment and satisfy the Configuration Requirements shall own all rights, title and interest in the Device upon receipt of such one-time upfront payment by SPH Media Limited and satisfaction of the Configuration Requirements.
9.4. Notwithstanding that the ownership of Device may be transferred to you in accordance with the terms herein, each subscriber acknowledges and agrees that SPH Media Limited owns and retains all rights and interest, including all intellectual property rights, in respect of the KNOX programme.
10. Redemption
10.1 The Device must be redeemed by subscribers through (a) the news tablet redemption centres designated by SPH Media Limited or (b) the Home Delivery Service, in accordance with the instructions and terms as stated on the Redemption Letter which you will receive within two (2) working days upon successful purchase of your subscription (for New Subscribers) or the date of commencement of your direct subscription with SPH Media Limited to the Package (for Vendor Subscribers and Existing Subscribers), provided that you satisfy all relevant eligibility criteria. Devices which are not redeemed by you within four (4) weeks of the date of the Redemption Letter (or such other period stated in the letter) will be forfeited. In such an event, for the avoidance of doubt, your obligations under the terms herein (including, without limitation, your obligation to maintain your subscription for the Minimum Subscription Period) will continue to apply in full.
10.2. Each Device must be configured by SPH Media Limited, or an authorised personnel approved by SPH Media Limited, at the point of redemption. The Device will not be released to a subscriber until the KNOX programme is fully configured and installed in the Device.
10.3. Subscribers may not configure the Device and install the KNOX programme on their own. Should subscribers refuse to allow the Device to undergo the configuration in accordance with paragraph 10.2 above, subject to paragraph 10.4 below, they will be deemed to forfeit their subscription to the Package and a cancellation and refund will be processed within the next seven (7) working days.
10.4. Any Device, once unsealed and opened in accordance with the instructions and/or agreement of a subscriber, is deemed to be purchased and redeemed by the subscriber and the Package may not be cancelled and refunded. All terms stated above will apply with immediate effect and, if the Configuration Requirements are not satisfied, then the subscriber will be deemed to have terminated his / her subscription to the Package before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period and will accordingly have to pay SPH Media Limited the sums due under paragraph 16 below.
11. Loss and Damage
11.1. Subscribers shall assume and bear (a) the entire risk of loss and damage to the Device from any and every cause whatsoever and (b) any and all costs involved in repairing and/or replacing the Device on and from the time of redemption of the Device. No loss or damage to the Device or any part thereof shall impair any obligation of subscriber under the subscription, which shall continue in full force and effect through the term of the subscription contract.
11.2. In the event a subscriber loses the Device, he / she may make a written request for SPH Media Limited to remotely lock the Device and restrict access to the KNOX programme embedded within the Device.
12. Where the Device is offered by SPH Media Limited in connection with your subscription, the following additional terms apply:
(a) The Device is only available whilst stocks last; strictly no exchange is allowed after the subscription application is submitted to SPH Media Limited;
(b) You agree and acknowledge that no representations or warranties of any kind, implied, express or statutory, including, without limitation, the warranties of non-infringement of third party rights, title, merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose, are given by SPH Media Limited in respect of the Device. SPH Media Limited will not entertain any requests to issue any refund or grant an exchange in respect of any Device that is found to be faulty or not fit for use, or for any other reasons; and
(c) Device must be redeemed by subscribers in accordance with the instructions and terms as stated on the Redemption Letter which you will receive within two working days upon successful purchase of your subscription (for New Subscribers) or the date of commencement of your direct subscription with SPH Media Limited to the Package (for Vendor Subscribers and Existing Subscribers), provided that you satisfy all relevant eligibility criteria. Devices which are not redeemed by you within four (4) weeks of the date of the Redemption Letter (or such other period stated in the letter) will be forfeited. In such event, for the avoidance of doubt, your obligations under the terms herein (including, without limitation, your obligation to maintain your subscription for the Minimum Subscription Period) will continue to apply in full.
13. Home Delivery Service
13.1. Subscribers may opt to redeem the Devices through the home delivery service (the “Home Delivery Service”). There is no charge for the first three (3) delivery attempts.
13.2. The service provider will arrange for the delivery within seven (7) working days from the date of purchase of the subscription. All queries to cancel or reschedule the appointment should be made directly to the Customer Experience Team.
13.3. There will be a maximum of three (3) delivery attempts. If, at the sole discretion of the service provider, all three (3) delivery attempts are unsuccessful, you will be charged an additional fee of S$20 per Device for any subsequent delivery attempts requested. There will be no refunds made for the delivery fees in respect of the unsuccessful delivery attempts.
14. Upon expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period, you agree that your subscription to the Package will continue in force on the then prevailing terms for such subscription until and unless you provide SPH Media Limited with notice in writing that you wish to terminate in accordance with the said terms. Upon termination of your subscription to the Package after the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period, the KNOX programme embedded within your Device will be removed within a period of four (4) weeks.
(Only applicable in respect of subscribers who have an Existing Subscription Plan or Existing Term Contract at the time of subscription for the Package) For the avoidance of doubt, if there is any inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the subscriber’s existing subscription contract and the Specific T&Cs in respect of this Package, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail. If the subscriber’s Existing Term Contract contains a minimum subscription period and provides that termination fees will be payable in the event of termination before the expiry of the minimum subscription period under that Existing Term Contract, the subscriber shall be liable to pay all the applicable termination fees under the Existing Term Contract and/or under these Specific T&Cs (as the case may be), in the event that the subscription is terminated prior to the expiry of the respective minimum subscription periods under the subscriber’s Existing Term Contract and/or these Specific T&Cs.
15. Termination
15.1. If you terminate your subscription to the Package before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period for any reason whatsoever, or during the Minimum Subscription Period you fail to pay to SPH Media Limited any sums as and when due and SPH Media Limited exercises its rights under the Standard Terms to terminate your subscription, the following fees and charges shall also be due and payable by you to SPH Media Limited upon notice by SPH Media Limited:
(a) administrative fee of S$20; and
(b) early termination fees of S$600, if the Minimum Subscription Period is twenty-four (24) months.
15.2. For the avoidance of doubt, if you terminate your subscription to the Package before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period, the fees in this paragraph 15 shall be due and payable by you. In the event of a termination of a subscription to the Package before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period for any reason whatsoever, (a) all of the subscriber’s entitlements under the Package (including, without limitation, the Standard Product Warranty (as defined below)) will cease and (b) all amounts paid prior to the date of termination will be strictly non-refundable.
15.3. You may cancel your subscription to the Package at any time after the Minimum Subscription Period. However, you agree that your subscription to the Package will continue and be renewed automatically on a monthly or yearly basis (depending on the payment plan you select) until you expressly instruct us that you wish to cancel your subscription by providing us with at least 30 days’ prior notice in one of the following ways: (a) in writing and sent by post to “Customer Experience, Consumer Division, SPH Media Ltd, 1000 Toa Payoh North Annexe Level 6, News Centre, Singapore 318994”; or (b) by calling our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838; or (c) by emailing us at circs@sph.com.sg. If the minimum subscription period applicable to your subscription has not yet expired as at the date of such termination, the prevailing administrative, termination or other fees shall also be due and payable by you. Unless otherwise stated by SPH Media, any renewal of your subscription will be on the prevailing subscription terms.
16. Unless SPH Media Limited has stated expressly otherwise, each subscriber may only enjoy one Package at any time, which may not be applied in conjunction with any other promotions or offers. The subscriber acknowledges that the Device is provided in connection with the Package and undertakes not to sell, rent, lease and/or distribute the Device.
17. At any one time, there must not be more than two (2) existing SPH Media Limited news tablet packages (across all publications) that are tied to one (1) billing address. However, SPH Media Limited may, in its sole and absolute discretion, grant exceptions to the foregoing. Please contact the Customer Experience Team if you have any queries.
18. SPH Media Limited and/or our relevant service providers will verify your billing address at the point of redemption or, as the case may be, delivery of the Device. Your subscription will be terminated and you will not be entitled to redeem the Device if your billing address does not match your proof of residential address (as stated in your identification documents).
19. Warranty
19.1. The manufacturer of the Device provides a standard 12-month manufacturer product warranty (the “Standard Product Warranty”) in respect of the Device and the subscriber is required to register and activate the warranty online at zbsub.sg/warranty.
19.2. In the event that the Device is spoiled or defective during the warranty period under the Standard Product Warranty, the subscriber is responsible for bringing the Device and original redemption letter back to one of the service centres stated in the Redemption Acknowledgement Letter. More information about standard warranty coverage to the Device can be found at zbsub.sg/warranty; in the meantime, subscribers will be able to access publication(s) on www.zaobao.com.sg and have concurrent access to Lianhe Zaobao mobile application on one device. The subscriber agrees to bear all costs and expenses incurred in connection with the repair or replacement of the Device at any and all times.
19.3. All matters relating to the Standard Product Warranty are solely between the subscriber and the manufacturer and SPH Media Limited will not be responsible for any discrepancies or changes (if any) in respect of the foregoing. SPH Media Limited will also not be liable for any direct or indirect claims, actions, demands or complaints, or any liabilities, judgments, compounds, penalties, losses, costs, damages, expenses, personal injury or death in connection with the Standard Product Warranty.
19.4. In the event that the Device is lost or if you wish to replace the Device for any other reason, please contact SPH Media Limited directly at 6388 3838 to purchase a new Device. The SPH Media Limited Tab application and KNOX programme are only available on Samsung tablets issued by SPH Media Limited and/or its authorised agents and service centres. SPH Media Limited and/or its authorised agents and service centres will not be able to configure a tablet or device purchased through other channels, to include the SPH Media Limited Tab application and KNOX programme on such tablet or device.
20. By subscribing for the Package, you agree and consent to the terms of our privacy policy as amended from time to time, available at https://corporate.sph.com.sg/legal/sph_privacy.html (“Privacy Policy”), and the terms of the Privacy Policy are incorporated into these Specific T&Cs by reference.
21. Subject to applicable laws, by subscribing for the Package, you further agree and consent:
21.1. that SPH Media Limited and its related corporations shall have the right to manage features of the KNOX programme embedded within your Device, which includes, but is not limited to, the ability to: (a) make modifications and changes remotely to the configuration, deployment and management of the Device’s interface, graphics, audio clips, editorial content, images and/or videos, and the scripts and software used to implement the KNOX programme; (b) remotely install applications (including applications from SPH Media Limited and its related corporations and/or other third parties) on the Device; (c) make modifications and changes remotely to the wallpaper and lock screen image of the Device; and (d) send you advertisements, marketing information and other communications through alerts, push notifications or in any other form or media on your Device at any time and from time to time. If, during the Minimum Subscription Period, you fail to pay to SPH Media Limited any sums as and when due, you consent and agree for SPH Media Limited to remotely lock your Device and restrict access to the KNOX programme embedded within the Device.
21.2. to SPH Media Limited and its related corporations, collecting, using and disclosing diagnostic, technical, usage and other related data or information, including, but not limited to, unique system or hardware identifiers and information about your Device, that is gathered periodically in an anonymised form in order to improve SPH Media Limited’s products and services, facilitate the provision of software updates, product support and for the purposes set out in the Privacy Policy.
The provisions of these paragraphs 20 and 21 shall also constitute your consent for the purpose of the provisions of the Spam Control Act 2007, Computer Misuse Act 1993 and other applicable law, unless otherwise notified in writing by you in the procedure as determined by SPH Media Limited from time to time, including as may be described in the Privacy Policy.
22. SPH Media Limited and its related corporations shall in no way be responsible or liable for any loss (including, without limitation, any indirect or consequential loss and damages for loss of profits, business interruption or loss of information), liability, expenses, claims and costs arising out of or in connection with the Device, including, but not limited to, any actual or alleged injury, damage, death or other consequences occurring to any person as a result, directly or indirectly, of the possession or use of the Device whether claimed by reason of breach of warranty, negligence, product defect or otherwise, and regardless of the form in which any such claim is made, save for any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable laws (in which case that liability is limited to the extent allowed by applicable laws).
23. SPH Media Limited may, at its sole and absolute discretion, vary, amend or revise the Specific T&Cs and/or terminate or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior notice.

5. 为符合获取三星平板电脑(简称“设备”)的资格:
5.1 您必须成为新订户,或根据条规在现有的订阅配套基础上增加订阅内容。
5.2 您同意在适用于配套的最短订阅期限内(参见上述第2段定义,“最短订阅期限”为24个月)维持现有订阅,且不得对订阅内容进行任何更改;以及
5.3 您必须在促销期内将填写完整的订阅申请表提交给新报业媒体。
6. 新报业媒体有最终权利决定您是否具有资格参与此促销活动。每个订户只限为每份订阅领取一台设备。
7. 订阅配套详情如下:
7.1 最短订阅期限
最短订阅期为24 个月。在最短订阅期限到期之前终止订阅的订户将需缴纳下文第15段中规定的提前终止费用。
7.2 订阅费用
订户可以选择不同的订阅费支付方式,如下表所示。
选择每月支付订阅费的订户(即选择下表中相应选项(a)的订户)应统称为“每月付款订户”。
选择一次性支付订阅费的订户(即选择下表中相应选项(b)的订户)应统称为“一次性付款订户”。

8. 新报业媒体有权利及保留最终处理权以相同价值的三星平板电脑取代促销活动附送的平板电脑。
9. 所有权
9.1(仅针对每月付款订户)设备的所有权利,所有权和权益仅在满足以下条件后转移给每月付款订户:(a) 新报业媒体收到全额支付订阅费用和24个月合约期间的其他费后,并且(b)订户需满足第10段所述的配置要求(“配置要求”)。否则,根据第11.1段的规定,新报业媒体保留提供给每个每月付款订户的设备的所有权利、所有权和权益,并且订户同意在此期间内不得转售或转让其的设备权益。如果订户在24个月的合约期满之前终止订阅,则应按照以下第15段中的规定支付合约终止费。
9.2(仅针对每月付款订户)在24个月的合约期满时,在全额支付订阅费和适用的配套订阅费后,并且在满足配置要求的前提下,该设备将成为每月付款订户的唯一和专属财产。
9.3(仅针对一次性全额付款订户)成功支付配套订阅费用并满足配置要求的订户,在新报业媒体收到该一次性全额款项后,将拥有设备的所有权利、所有权和权益。
9.4 尽管设备的所有权将会根据此条款与条件转交给订户,每个订户承认和同意新报业媒体将会持有和保留所有权利和利益,包括全部知识产权,即平板电子报应用和使用KNOX程序。
10. 兑换平板电脑
10.1 订户必须根据平板电脑兑换通知书中所述的说明和条款,通过以下两种方式兑换平板电脑:(a)前往新报业媒体指定的兑换中心或(b)选择派送服务。 新订户将在订阅后的2个工作日内收到平板电脑兑换通知书,现有订户和报贩订户将在您的订阅合约正式开始后收到平板电脑兑换通知书。如果您未能在平板电脑兑换通知书发出日期(或信函中规定的其他期限)后的四 (4) 周内兑换,您的资格将被取消。在这种情况下,为免生疑问,您在此条款下的义务(包括但不限于您在最短订阅期内维持订阅的义务)将继续适用。
10.2 您在兑换平板电脑时,必须由新报业媒体或其批准的授权人员设置您的平板电脑。在设置成功或在平板电脑中成功安装KNOX程序之前,兑换中心将不会把该平板电脑交给订户。
10.3 订户不允许自行配置设备并安装KNOX程序。如果订户拒绝按照上述第10.2段对设备进行配置,受限于下文第10.4段的规定,则他/她将被视为放弃订阅此配套,新报业媒体将会在7个工作日内取消配套订阅并退款。
10.4 任何设备,在获得订户同意之后开封,将会被认为订户已完成付款与兑换,且配套订阅将无法取消或退款。上述条款将立即生效,如果配置要求未得到满足,订户将会被认为提前终止此订阅配套。此订户需向新报业媒体支付下述第16条款中的金额。
11. 丢失和损坏
11.1 订户应承担(a)因任何原因对平板电脑造成的全部损失和损坏风险,以及(b)兑换后对平板电脑修理和/或更换零件所涉及的所有费用。平板电脑或其任何部分的损失或损坏均不应打断订户对订阅的任何义务,该订阅将在订阅合约到期内继续完全有效。
11.2 如果订户遗失了平板电脑,他/她可以书面要求新报业媒体远程锁定平板电脑并限制对设备内安装的KNOX程序的访问。
12. 新报业媒体所提供的平板电子报订阅配套与平板电脑,适用于以下附加条款与条件:
- 订阅配套将随设备库存售完为止,订户在向新报业媒体提交订阅申请后,不得更换附送的平板电脑。
- 您了解并同意新报业媒体不会给予所提供的设备任何形式、暗示、明示或法定的担保或维修服务,包括但不限定保障不侵犯第三方权利、所有权、商业适售性、商品满意度及特定目的的适用性。对于任何发现有缺陷或不适合使用的设备或任何其他原因,新报业媒体不会提供任何退款或交换服务。
- 新订户在订阅后的3个工作日内收到平板电脑兑换通知书,现有订户和报贩订户将在您的订阅合约正式开始后收到平板电脑兑换通知书。您必需按兑换书的指示在指定日期及地点兑换平板。所有平板电脑于活动结束后4周内(或兑换通知书中指定期限内)未被兑换将被取消资格。若兑换平板的资格被取消,订户须继续完成此条款与条件所要求之义务(包括但不仅限于维持合约中所指定的最短订阅期)。
13. 派送服务
13.1 订户可以选择派送上门服务(以下简称“派送服务”)来领取平板电脑。派送服务无需额外费用,但只限三(3)次派送机会。
13.2 派送团队将从订阅之日起7个工作日内安排派送平板电脑。所有取消或重新安排派送的请求需要联系新报业媒体客户服务团队。
13.3 每个订户最多有三(3)次的派送机会。如果派送团队判定所有三(3)次派送尝试均未成功,您则需要额外支付$20的派送费。如果派送不成功,订户不可要求退款。
14. 当您的最短订阅期限到期后,您同意且将根据当时的条款与条件继续维持同一份订阅配套(简称”合约订阅配套”)直到您以书面通知新报业媒体终止合约及其条款与条件。在取消订阅之后,您的平板电脑与KNOX的绑定程序将在4周内被删除。
(仅适用于订阅平板电子报配套时已经与《联合早报》签订订阅合约的订户)为免生疑问,如订户现有订购合约的条款与条件和特定条款与条件之间存在任何不一致,则以特定条款与条件为准。如果订户的现有订阅合约包含最短订阅期,并要在该订阅合约规定的最短订阅期届满之前终止订阅,则订户应支付该订阅合约适用的合约取消费。如果订户在现有订阅合约和/或平板电子报配套的特定条款与条件(视情况而定)的相应最短订阅期限到期之前终止订阅,则订户应负责支付所有适用的合约取消费。
15. 终止订阅
15.1. 如果您在合约最短订阅期满前以任何理由终止合约或在合约最短订阅期间内未能向新报业媒体支付订阅费用,新报业媒体有权利根据基本条款与条件终止您的订阅,并且向您收取以下费用:
(a) 行政费$20;
(b)24个月合约取消费为$600。
15.2. 为避免疑义,如果订户在最短订阅期满前终止合约,则第15段中的费用应由订户支付。不论何种原因,在最短订阅期到期之前取消配套订阅(a)在此配套下所有的订户权益(包含但不仅限于标准产品保修(下述)和任何延长保修)将会停止(b)在合约终止之前所支付的任何款项,新报业媒体将不予以退款。
15.3. 您可以在最短订阅期结束后随时终止订阅。但是,您同意您对配套的订阅将继续并按月或按年自动续订(取决于您选择的付款模式),直到您至少在30天前,通过以下方式向我们提出终止订阅的书面通知:(a)以书面形式邮寄至“Customer Experience, Consumer Division, SPH Media Ltd, 1000 Toa Payoh North Annexe Level 6, News Centre, Singapore 318994”;或(b)致电我们的客户体验团队 6388 3838;或(c)发送电子邮件至circs@sph.com.sg。如果您合约里的最短订阅期尚未到期,则您还应支付现行的管理费、终止费或其他费用。除非新报业媒体另有说明,否则您的任何订阅续订都将按照现行订阅条款进行。
16. 除非新报业媒体另有明确说明,否则每个订户在任何时间内只限参与一次促销活动,也不可与其它促销优惠合併使用。平板电脑是与配套一起提供给每个订户的,订户同意不出售、出租、租赁和/或分销该设备。
17. 在任何情况下,与一(1)个账单地址相关联的现有平板电子报配套(包括跨报配套)不得超过两(2)个。但是,新报业媒体可全权决定授予上述例外情况。如有任何疑问,请联系新报业媒体客户服务部门。
18. 新报业媒体和/或我们的相关服务提供商将在兑换设备(视情况而定)时验证您的账单地址。如果您的账单地址与您的居住地址(如您的身份证明文件中所述)不符,您的订阅将被终止,并且您将无权兑换设备。
19. 保修期
19.1. 设备制造商为设备提供标准的12个月制造商产品保修(简称 “标准产品保修”),订户需要在zbsub.sg/warranty网站在线注册并激活保修。
19.2. 如果设备在标准产品保修期内发生损坏或缺陷,订户有责任将设备和兑换凭证带回平板电脑兑换通知书中指定的服务中心之一。若要了解更多关于标准产品保修服务的覆盖范围,请上网zbsub.sg/warranty查看;与此同时,订户可上网www.zaobao.com.sg、同时登录一台智能设备,并通过早报应用阅读《联合早报》的内容。订户同意随时承担与维修或更换设备相关的所有费用。
19.3. 有关标准产品保修事宜,仅限于订户和制造商之间,对于上述事宜中的任何差池或变更(如有),新报业媒体将不承担任何责任。同时,新报业媒体也不对任何由标准产品保修所造成的直接或者间接的投诉、责任、损失、个人损害或者死亡承担责任。
19.4.如果平板电脑丢失或由于其他任何原因希望更换平板电脑,请直接致电6388 3838与新报业媒体联系以购买新的平板电脑。SPHtab应用程序和KNOX程序仅在新报业媒体和/或其授权代理商和服务中心发行的三星平板电脑上适用。新报业媒体和/或其授权代理和服务中心将无法配置通过其他渠道购买的平板电脑,并无法在此类平板电脑上植入SPHtab应用程序和KNOX程序。
20. 订阅此促销配套,即表示您已同意新报业媒体可不定时地修改其隐私政策条款,该条款可在https://corporate.sph.com.sg/legal/sph_privacy.html(简称“隐私政策”)中找到,以及《隐私政策》的条款已被引用在此条款与条件内。
21. 在遵守适用法律的前提下,订阅此促销配套,即表示您进一步同意:
21.1. 授权新报业媒体和其相关公司权力,以管理植入您设备中的KNOX程序的功能,包括但不限于(a)对平板电脑进行远程修改和更改设备界面、图形、音频、编辑内容,图像和/或视频的配置,以及KNOX程序和软件;(b)远程安装应用程序(包括新报业媒体和其相关公司应用程序和/或其他第三方的应用程序)(c)远程修改和更改平板电脑的壁纸和屏幕图像;并且(d)通过设备上的警报、推送通知或任何其他形式或媒体,随时向您发送广告、营销信息及其他信息。如果在最短订阅期内,您未按时向新报业媒体支付任何款项,则表示您已授权并同意新报业媒体远程锁定您的设备并限制对设备中嵌入的KNOX程序的访问。
21.2. 授权新报业媒体及其相关公司,收集并使用与技术有关,如使用情况和其他相关数据或信息,包括但不限于特定系统或硬件标识符以及与您的设备有关的信息,这些数据或信息会以匿名形式定期收集,以便新报业媒体改进产品和服务,并促进软件更新及产品支持,以达到隐私政策中所述的目的。
您已经同意在此条款与条规中第20段和第21段所述的条款,也将根据《垃圾邮件控制法》(第311A章)、《计算机滥用法》(第50A章)和其他适用法律的规定,除非您另行书面通知,新报业媒体可以不定时更改隐私政策程序,包括隐私政策中可能描述的程序。
22. 新报业媒体及其关联公司对因设备引起或与设备相关的任何损失(包括但不限于任何间接或后果性损失、利润损失、业务中断或信息丢失的损害)、责任、费用、索赔和成本概不负责,无论这些后果是因设备的持有或使用直接或间接导致,亦无论索赔是基于违反保修、疏忽、产品缺陷或其他原因,且不论索赔形式为何。唯一例外是适用法律不可排除的责任(在此情况下,该责任将限于适用法律允许的范围)。
23. 新报业媒体可以随时自行决定更改、修改或修订订阅条款与条件,和/或终止或撤回此订阅活动,恕不另行通知。

1. These Standard Subscription Terms and Conditions (“Standard Terms”) govern your subscription(s) to newspapers published by SPH Media Limited and its successors-in-title (“SPH Media”, “we”, “our” or “us”), regardless of the type of subscription and how you access your subscription. We may amend these Standard Terms from time to time by posting any amendments on our website, and you agree to be bound by these amendments.
Subscribing to our services
2. You must be 18 years old and above to subscribe to our services. If you are a child or ward below 18 years old (“child”), please get your parent or guardian to undertake the subscription. By subscribing to our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are:
(a) subscribing to and using our services for yourself;
(b) subscribing to and using our services for your company; or
(c) subscribing to our services as parent or guardian on behalf of a child who will be using our services. In this case, you agree to these Standard Terms both personally and on behalf of the child. You will be liable for your child’s acts and omissions when your child uses our services, so please ensure that your child observes these Standard Terms.
3. Your subscription may be subject to additional terms, such as when you sign up for a News Tablet subscription or when your subscription comes with a gift or premium (the “Additional Terms”). Any such Additional Terms will apply in addition to these Standard Terms. The Additional Terms will take priority over the Standard Terms if there is any conflict between the two.
4. The time we take to process and confirm your subscription will vary depending on how you are subscribing with us.
(a) If you are subscribing with us via our online subscription portal, we will confirm your subscription via email within 1 day from the time you submit your application.
(b) If you are subscribing with us via our other channels (including walk-ins, roadshows, application forms, phone, resellers), we will confirm your application within 3 to 7 working days from the time you submit your application.
If you do not have an email address, we will confirm your subscription via regular mail. This may take up to 4 to 6 working days.
Fees and payment
5. All subscription fees are due in advance unless otherwise stated. For example, if you are subscribed to a monthly subscription package, payment for the subscription fees for a particular month must be made at the start of that month. Subscription fees, once charged, are non-refundable.
6. You can choose to make payment for your subscription fees by credit card. We will typically debit your card at the start of each month (for monthly subscriptions) or each subscription year (for annual subscriptions).
(a) If we are unable to debit your card for any reason when your subscription fees are due, we may suspend or terminate your subscription in accordance with clause 13 below.
(b) If your credit card has expired, or if you wish to use a different credit card, you must notify us at least 14 days before your next subscription fee payment is due. You can do so either by contacting our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838, or updating your credit card details online by logging in to your account.
7. In the event of any discrepancies or inaccuracies in your invoice/statement/records relating to the payment for your subscription, you must notify us promptly by contacting our Customer Experience Team no later than fourteen (14) days from the date of the invoice/statement/records for us to investigate into the matter, otherwise our records shall be conclusive of the amounts due from you and we will not entertain any disputes in relation to the same.
Delivery and suspension of delivery for print newspapers
8. If you have subscribed to print newspapers, a delivery fee will be charged for the delivery of the print newspapers. Delivery fees will vary depending on your residence, and will be charged per subscriber account per delivery address. Once charged, delivery fees are non-refundable.
9. We contract with external vendors to provide delivery of your newspapers to you. They may deliver your newspapers to your doorstep, or to your letterbox.
10. If you experience any issues of non-delivery of your newspapers, please contact our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838 no later than 2 days after the date of the newspaper(s) in question, so that we can address the issue for you as soon as possible.
11. You may suspend the delivery of your print newspaper(s) temporarily (“Temporary Stop”) by submitting a request through the account management portal or by calling our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838. Temporary Stop requests are subject to our discretion, and if approved, are offered to you on a goodwill basis.
(a) Any Temporary Stop requests must be submitted at least 3 working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) before its intended start date.
(b) Each Temporary Stop requested for must be for a minimum period of 3 consecutive days and cannot exceed 30 consecutive days.
(c) If you are subscribed to a Print-only package, and your Temporary Stop request is approved, we may additionally offer you a refund or credit of your subscription fees for the duration of the Temporary Stop. No refund or credit will be offered to subscribers of All-in-One packages because you will continue to have access to digital editions of your subscribed publications.
12. Even if a Temporary Stop request is approved, we cannot guarantee that all delivery personnel will carry out Temporary Stop requests without error or at all. In such event, notwithstanding clause 11(c), you remain liable to pay for all newspapers delivered to you during any Temporary Stop period requested. We will not be liable for any loss or damage which you may suffer in connection with any continued delivery of newspaper(s) or any Temporary Stop request.
Cancellation and termination
13. If you wish to change or cancel your subscription, you must provide us with at least 30 days’ prior notice in one of the following ways:
(a) by calling our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838;
(b) by emailing us at circs@sph.com.sg; or
(c) in writing and sent by post to “Customer Experience Team, Consumer Division, SPH Media Ltd, 1000 Toa Payoh North Annexe Level 6, News Centre, Singapore 318994”.
If you cancel your subscription in the middle of your billing cycle, no refunds will be issued to you, but you will continue to have the same access and subscriber benefits for the remainder of the current billing cycle.
14. Your subscription may be subject to a minimum subscription period, such as when you sign up for a News Tablet subscription or if you receive a gift or premium with your subscription. If a minimum subscription period applies to your subscription:
(a) You will be liable for early termination fees and administrative fees if you terminate your subscription before the expiry of the applicable minimum subscription period. Details of these fees will be found in the Additional Terms for your subscription. Early termination fees, if chargeable, will be pro-rated against the portion of the minimum subscription period that has already elapsed and for which subscription fees have been paid.
(b) At the end of the applicable minimum subscription period, your subscription will automatically continue on the prevailing subscription terms and fee.
15. If we do not receive payment of your subscription fees on time for any reason, or if you breach any other terms and conditions for your subscription, then we may, without prejudice to our rights and remedies at law:
(a) recover any outstanding sums due from you;
(b) suspend your subscription; or
(c) terminate your subscription without further notice or obligation to you, and impose on you any applicable termination and administrative fees.
General matters
16. You confirm that the information provided in your subscription application form is true and correct at the point of application. If there are any changes to the information provided, you must inform us promptly by contacting our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838, or updating your details online by logging in to your account.
17. By submitting your subscription application form, you hereby agree and consent to:
(a) the terms of our Privacy Policy which can be found at https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/privacy as amended from time to time, and the terms of the Privacy Policy are incorporated into these Standard Terms by reference;
(b) us using and disclosing your personal data for the purposes of processing your subscription application and to provide you with the products and services you have requested. These purposes are set out in the SPH Media Privacy Policy which can be found at https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/privacy and which may be amended from time to time; and
(c) the terms of our SPH Media Member Terms and Conditions which can be found at https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/member as amended from time to time, and the terms of the SPH Media Member Terms and Conditions are incorporated into these Standard Terms by reference. You further agree that SPH Media’s decision on all matters or disputes relating to or in connection with your subscription and any matters ancillary thereto (including without limitation payment, delivery, promotions or eligibility requirements) are final and conclusive on you. In the event of conflict between these Standard Terms and the SPH Media Member Terms and Conditions, these Standard Terms shall prevail.
18. We have the right to vary subscription or delivery fees payable or any other term relating to your subscription from time to time upon giving you reasonable prior notice.

1. 标准订阅条款与条件(简称“标准条款”)适用于您向新报业媒体及其衍生公司(“SPH Media”、“我们”或“我们的”)订阅我们出版的报章,涵盖所有订阅配套以及访问方式。我们可能会通过网站随时更改、修改或修订标准条款,并且您同意受这些修订的约束。
订阅服务
2. 您须年满 18 岁或以上才能订阅我们的报刊。如果您是18岁以下的人士或被监护人(简称“儿童”),请让您的父母或监护人代替您订阅。只要您订阅报刊即表示您确认您已年满 18 岁并且您:
(a) 以个人身份使用和订阅和/或签订合约;
(b) 代表公司使用和订阅和/或签订合约;或者
(c) 作为未满18岁的订户之监护人或父母签订合约,在这种情况下,您同意以个人身份作为您孩子或被监护人受本标准条款的约束,并对您的孩子或被监护人在订阅和/或使用服务时的行为负责,并且您还同意确保您的孩子或被监护人遵守这些标准条款。
3. 当您订阅平板电子报配套或您的订阅配套有附带礼物或赠品时,您须遵守附加条款与条件(简称“附加条款”)。除了标准条款外,此类附加条款均适用。如果附加条款与标准条款之间存在任何冲突,则附加条款优先于标准条款。
4. 我们处理和确认您的订阅所需时间将根据您的订阅方式而有所不同。
(a) 如果您通过新报业媒体订阅网站订阅,我们将在您提交申请后 1 天内通过电子邮件确认您的订阅。
(b) 如果您通过我们的其他渠道(包括上门拜访、路演、申请表、电话、经销商)向我们订阅,我们将在您提交申请后 3 至 7 个工作日内确认您的申请。
如果您没有电子邮件地址,我们将通过普通邮件确认您的订阅。这可能需要 4 到 6 个工作日。
订阅费与付款
5. 除非另有说明,所有订阅费均需提前支付。例如,如果您订阅的是每月配套,则必须在该月月初支付当月的订阅费。订阅费一经收取,不予退还。
6. 您可以选择通过信用卡支付订阅费。我们通常会在每个月初(对于每月订阅)或每个订阅年初(对于每年订阅)从您的卡中扣款。
(a) 如果在您的订阅缴费到期时我们因任何原因无法从您的卡中扣款,我们可能会根据下文第 13 条暂停或终止您的订阅。
(b) 如果您的信用卡已过期,或者您希望使用其他信用卡,您必须在下一次订阅缴费期至少 14 天前通知我们。您可以拨打 6388 3838 联系我们的客户体验团队,或登录您的帐户在线更新您的信用卡信息。
7. 如果您的发票/报表/记录中的支付信息出现任何差异或不准确,您必须在发票/报表出具之日起十四 (14) 天内联系我们的客户体验团队,并提供记录以便我们调查此事,否则我们的记录将是您应收款项的最终版本,我们将不会受理与此相关的任何争议。
印刷版派送服务和暂停派报服务
8. 如果您订阅的是印刷版报刊,您需支付派报费用。派报费用将根据地址而有所差异,并且将根据订户账户和派送地址收取费用。一旦支付,派报费将不予退还。
9. 我们与供应商签订合约为您提供派报服务。他们可能会将您的报纸派送到您家门口或者信箱。
10. 如果您遇到任何报纸未能送达的问题,请在 2 天内致电 6388 3838 联系我们的客户体验团队,以便我们尽快为您解决问题。
11. 如果您想暂时中止报纸派送服务(简称“暂停派报”),您可以通过账户管理平台或致电 6388 3838 向我们的客户体验团队提交申请。暂停派报申请将经过我们的审核评估,视情况决定是否获批。
(a) 任何暂停派报申请必须在预定开始日期前至少 3 个工作日(不包括周六、周日和公众假期)内提交。
(b) 每次暂停派报必须至少连续 3 天,且不能超过连续 30 天。
(c) 如果您订阅了印刷版配套,并且您的暂停派报申请获得批准,我们可能会额外向您提供暂停派报期间订阅费用的退款或抵免。数码+印刷配套的订户则不会获得任何退款,因为在暂停派报期间您仍然可以阅读数码版报刊。
12. 即使“暂停派报”申请获得批准,我们也不能保证所有派报人员都会无误或完全执行“暂停派报”申请。在这种情况下,尽管有第 11(c) 条的规定,您仍有责任支付在暂停派报期间需支付的订阅费用。我们对于您因暂停派报或恢复派报而可能遭受的任何损失或损害,不承担任何责任。
取消和终止订阅
13. 如果您希望更改或取消订阅,您必须通过以下一种方式在至少 30 天前通知我们:
(a) 致电我们的客户体验团队 6388 3838;
(b) 发送电子邮件至 circs@sph.com.sg;或者
(c) 以书信形式邮寄至“Customer Experience Team, Consumer Division, SPH Media Ltd, 1000 Toa Payoh North Annexe Level 6, News Centre, Singapore 318994”。
如果您在计费周期中取消订阅,我们不会向您退款,但您将在当前计费周期的剩余时间内继续享有相同的访问权限和订户权益。
14. 当您订阅平板电子报配套,或您的订阅配套有附带礼物或赠品时,您的订阅可能会受到最短订阅期的限制。如果您的订阅配套有最短订阅期:
(a) 如果您在适用的最短订阅期到期之前终止订阅,您将需要支付提前终止费和管理费。这些费用的详细信息可在附加条款中找到。如果有提前终止费用,此费用将根据已经履行的最短订阅期的比例计算,即已经支付了订阅费的部分。
(b) 在适用的最短订阅期结束后,您的订阅将自动按照现行订阅条款和费用继续。
15. 如果我们因任何原因未按时收到您的订阅费,或者您违反任何其他订阅条款与条件,那么我们可以在不损害我们的权利和法律补救措施的情况下:
(a) 追回您欠下的任何未付款项;
(b) 暂停您的订阅;或者
(c) 终止您的订阅,恕不另行通知,也不对您承担任何义务,并向您收取适用的终止费和管理费。
其他事项
16. 您确认您在订阅申请表中提供的信息在申请时真实且正确。如果所提供的信息有任何变更,您须致电 6388 3838 联系我们的客户体验团队,或通过登录您的帐户在线更新。
17. 通过提交您的订阅申请表,您特此同意:
(a) 我们的隐私政策条款可在 https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/privacy 上找到,并会不时修订,隐私政策条款已引用并入标准条款中;
(b) 我们使用和披露您的个人数据是为了处理您的订阅申请并向您提供您所申请的产品和服务。这些目的已在新报业媒体隐私政策中列出,该政策可在 https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/privacy 上找到,并且可能会不时修订;和
(c) 新报业媒体会员条款与条件(可在 https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/member 上找到,并不时修订),以及新报业媒体会员条款与条件已经被引用并入标准条款。您进一步同意,新报业媒体对与您订阅相关的所有事项或争议以及任何附属事项(包括但不限于付款、交付、促销或资格要求)的决定对您而言是最终的和决定性的。如果这些标准条款与新报业媒体会员条款与条件发生冲突,则以标准条款为准。
18. 我们有权在向您发出合理的事先通知后,随时修改订阅费或派报费,或与您的订阅相关的任何其他条款。
