Terms and Conditions

  1. The terms herein (the “Specific T&Cs”) apply in addition to our Standard Terms and Conditions (the “General T&Cs” and, together with the Specific T&Cs, the “T&Cs”). In the event of any inconsistency between the General T&Cs and the Specific T&Cs, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail.
  2. This promotion is for our Zaobao Digital home subscription package (the “Package”).
    The Package entitles the subscriber:        
    (a) Unlock subscriber-only articles on Zaobao App and website;        
    (b) Zaobao app access on 6 devices; and 
    (c) Zaobao and Shin Min e-paper with 2-week archive        
    This promotion is available for subscribers in Singapore, subject to the General T&Cs and the Specific T&Cs. This promotion is valid during the period commencing from 12 April 2022 to such date as may be determined by SPH Media  Limited (“SPH”) in its sole and absolute discretion (the “Promotion Period”). It is not valid with other promotions and bundle deals.
  3. Under this promotion, eligible subscribers, will subject to the General T&Cs and the Specific T&Cs, be entitled to subscribe for the Package at the promotional price of S$0.99 per month (the “Promotional Price”) for the first three (3) months of their subscription to the Package. Thereafter, the subscribers will be charged the prevailing monthly subscription fees in respect of their subscription to the Package. As of the date of the Specific T&Cs, the monthly subscription fees in respect of the Package is S$29.90.
  4. You may cancel your subscription to the Package at any time. You agree that your subscription to the Package will continue and be renewed automatically on a monthly basis until you expressly instruct us that you wish to cancel your subscription by providing us with at least 30 days’ prior notice.
  5. Eligibility:
    5.1 The following groups of subscribers are eligible for this promotion:
    5.11 New subscribers (“New Subscribers”): Persons who: (a) are not Vendor Subscribers (as defined below) or Existing Subscribers (as defined below); and (b) do not currently have a subscription to the Package are, subject to the General T&Cs and the Specific T&Cs, eligible for this promotion.     
    5.12 Vendor subscribers (“Vendor Subscribers”): Existing subscribers who are currently subscribing to the print version of Lianhe Zaobao through a newspaper vendor and are currently paying their subscription fee(s) to a it are, subject to the General T&Cs and the Specific T&Cs, eligible for this promotion. (Upon subscription for the Package under this promotion, the existing subscriptions to the print versions of Lianhe Zaobao of these Vendor Subscribers with their newspaper vendors will be terminated and they will become direct subscribers of the Package with SPH.)     

    5.2 The following groups of subscribers (collectively, “Existing Subscribers”) are not eligible for this promotion (whether or not the minimum subscription period under their respective packages have expired):       
    5.21 Existing subscribers of the Package as well as the Zaobao News Tablet Package, Zaobao Print Package, Zaobao All-in-One Package or Zaobao Digital Personal Edition (collectively, the “Other Packages”) with SPH; and   
    5.22 Persons who had terminated their subscription with SPH to the Package or any of the Other Packages anytime within the 90 days prior to the date of submission of the subscription application hereunder.     

    5.3 A person is deemed to be an Existing Subscriber if any member of the person’s household has at any time previously subscribed to the Package (or any of the Other Packages) directly with SPH or terminated the same anytime within the 90 days prior to the date of the submission of the subscription application hereunder. For the purposes of the Specific T&Cs, a “household” refers to a domestic unit comprising members of the same family who have the same billing address and/or delivery address.
  1. For information on when your subscription to the Package will commence, please refer to the following:
    6.1 New Subscribers
    a. For applications received through the SPH subscription platform, subscription in respect of the Package will commence on or around 2 working days after the subscription application is received by SPH.
    b. For applications received through call-in, subscription will commence either 1st or 15th day of the upcoming month (subject to processing time of 7 – 9 working days)        

    6.2 Vendor Subscribers
    a. For applications received from 1st – 15th of current month, direct subscription with SPH will commence on the 1st day of the upcoming month.
    b. For applications received from 16th – 31st of current month, direct subscription with SPH will commence on the 1st day of the following month.
  2. To qualify for this promotion, eligible subscribers must (a) take up a new subscription to the Package, and (b) the duly completed subscription application form must be received by SPH within the Promotion Period. Requests for extensions of the Promotion Period will not be entertained, and applications for subscriptions received by SPH after the Promotion Period will not qualify. SPH has the right to determine your eligibility for the promotional price for the Package at its sole and absolute discretion and its decision thereon shall be final and binding.
  3. Only one (1) subscription to the Package at the above-stated promotional price may be redeemed or enjoyed per eligible subscription, per household.
  4. Unless SPH has stated expressly otherwise, each subscriber may only enjoy one promotional or premium offer at any time, which may not be applied in conjunction with any other promotions or offers.
  5. SPH may, at its sole and absolute discretion, vary, amend or revise the T&Cs (including, without limitation, the Promotional Price and the Promotion Period) and/or terminate or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior notice.

  2. 此促销活动适用于早报数码配套(简称”配套”)订户。此配套包括:
    (a) 可通过早报应用和网站无限畅读订户专享内容
    (b) 可同时在六台智能设备登录早报应用; 和
    (c) 可阅读长达两周的早报及新明电子报

    此促销适用于新加坡住家订户,受基本条款与条件和特定条款与条件的约束。此促销活动有效期为自 2022 年 4 月 12 日起至新报  业媒体(简称“SPH”)全权酌情决定的日期(简称“促销期”)。此促销不适用于其他促销和跨报配套。
  1. 在此促销活动中,符合条件的订户将受基本条款与条件和特定条款与条件的约束,首三(3) 个月有权以每月 $0.99 的促销价格(简称“促销价”)订阅配套。此后,订户将被收取现行每月订阅费用。截至特定条款与条件内描述的促销结束日期,配套的每月订阅费用为$29.90。
  2. 您可以随时取消订阅。您已同意您订阅的配套将继续每月自动续订,直到您明确通知我们您希望取消订阅。取消订阅申请需在至少提前 30 天前上交给SPH。
  3. 本促销活动仅适用于::

       5.1 以下订户组别有资格参加此促销活动:

       5.11 新订户(简称“新订户”): (a) 不是报贩订户(定义见下文)或现有订户(定义见下文)的人; (b) 目前没有订阅配套的人,受基本条款与条件和特定条款与条件的约束,有资格参加此促销活动。

      5.12 报贩订户(简称“报贩订户”):目前通过报贩订阅《联合早报》印刷版的现有订户,目前正在向其支付订阅费,受基本条款与条件和特定条款与条件的约束,有资格参加此促销活动。 (在订阅此促销配套后,您与报贩订阅的《联合早报》印刷版配套将被终止,您将成为 SPH 的直属订户。)

      5.2 以下订户组别(统称“现有订户”)不符合本次促销的资格(无论其现有配套的最短订阅期是否已到期):

      5.21 现有订户为现有配套订户和向SPH直接订阅早报平板电子报配套、早报印刷版套餐、早报多合一综合配套或早报数码配套个人版(统称为“其他配套”)的订户;和

      5.22 在提交订阅申请之日前 90 天内,已终止向 SPH 订阅配套或任何其他配套的人。

      5.3 如果此人的任何家庭成员直接向 SPH 订阅了配套(或任何其他配套)或在该日期前90 天内终止了该配套,则该人被视为现有订户。就特定条款与条件而言,“家庭”是指由具有相同账单地址和/或送货地址的同一家庭成员组成的家庭单位。

  1. 有关您的配套何时开始生效,请参考以下说明:

       6.1 新订户

a. 通过报业控股订阅网站订阅,您的配套将在报业控股收到订阅申请后大约两个工作日内开始生效。

b. 通过电话订阅,您的配套将于下个月的1号或15号开始生效(处理时间为 7 至 9 个工作日)。

       6.2 报贩订户

a. 对于在当月 1 日至 15 日内收到的申请,您的配套将于下个月的 1 日开始生效。

b. 对于在当月 16 日至 31 日内收到的申请,您的配套将于后月1号开始生效。

  1. 要获得此促销活动的资格,符合条件的订户必须
    (a) 第一次订阅配套,并且
    (b) SPH 必须在促销期内收到正式填写的订阅申请。延长促销期的请求将不予受理,并且在促销期之后 SPH 收到的订阅申请将不符合资格。 SPH 有权自行决定您是否有资格享受配套促销价,其决定为最终决定并具有约束力。
  2. 在符合订阅条件的前提下,每个家庭只能享受一 (1) 次促销。
  3. 除非 SPH 另有明确说明,否则每位订户在任何时候只能享受一项促销或优惠,不得与任何其他促销或优惠同时使用。
  4. SPH可全权决定随时更改、修改或修订条款与条件(包括但不限于促销价和促销期)和/或终止或撤销此促销活动,恕不另行通知

Standard Subscription Terms and Conditions

(Last updated on Mar 03, 2026)*

 

1. These Standard Subscription Terms and Conditions (“Standard Terms”) govern your subscription(s) to newspapers published by SPH Media Limited and its successors-in-title (“SPH Media”, “we”, “our” or “us”), regardless of the type of subscription and how you access your subscription. We may amend these Standard Terms from time to time by posting any amendments on our website, and you agree to be bound by these amendments.

 

Subscribing to our services

2. You must be 18 years old and above to subscribe to our services. If you are a child or ward below 18 years old (“child”), please get your parent or guardian to undertake the subscription. By subscribing to our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are:

(a) subscribing to and using our services for yourself;

(b) subscribing to and using our services for your company; or

(c) subscribing to our services as parent or guardian on behalf of a child who will be using our services. In this case, you agree to these Standard Terms both personally and on behalf of the child. You will be liable for your child’s acts and omissions when your child uses our services, so please ensure that your child observes these Standard Terms.

3. Your subscription may be subject to additional terms, such as when you sign up for a News Tablet subscription or when your subscription comes with a gift or premium (the “Additional Terms”). Any such Additional Terms will apply in addition to these Standard Terms. The Additional Terms will take priority over the Standard Terms if there is any conflict between the two.

4. The time we take to process and confirm your subscription will vary depending on how you are subscribing with us.

(a) If you are subscribing with us via our online subscription portal, we will confirm your subscription via email within 1 day from the time you submit your application.

(b) If you are subscribing with us via our other channels (including walk-ins, roadshows, application forms, phone, resellers), we will confirm your application within 3 to 7 working days from the time you submit your application.

If you do not have an email address, we will confirm your subscription via regular mail. This may take up to 4 to 6 working days.

 

Fees and payment

5. All subscription fees are due in advance unless otherwise stated. For example, if you are subscribed to a monthly subscription package, payment for the subscription fees for a particular month must be made at the start of that month. Subscription fees, once charged, are non-refundable.

6. You can choose to make payment for your subscription fees by credit card. We will typically debit your card at the start of each month (for monthly subscriptions) or each subscription year (for annual subscriptions).

(a) If we are unable to debit your card for any reason when your subscription fees are due, we may suspend or terminate your subscription in accordance with clause 13 below.

(b) If your credit card has expired, or if you wish to use a different credit card, you must notify us at least 14 days before your next subscription fee payment is due. You can do so either by contacting our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838, or updating your credit card details online by logging in to your account.

7. In the event of any discrepancies or inaccuracies in your invoice/statement/records relating to the payment for your subscription, you must notify us promptly by contacting our Customer Experience Team no later than fourteen (14) days from the date of the invoice/statement/records for us to investigate into the matter, otherwise our records shall be conclusive of the amounts due from you and we will not entertain any disputes in relation to the same.

 

Delivery and suspension of delivery for print newspapers

8. If you have subscribed to print newspapers, a delivery fee will be charged for the delivery of the print newspapers. Delivery fees will vary depending on your residence, and will be charged per subscriber account per delivery address. Once charged, delivery fees are non-refundable.

9. We contract with external vendors to provide delivery of your newspapers to you. They may deliver your newspapers to your doorstep, or to your letterbox.

10. If you experience any issues of non-delivery of your newspapers, please contact our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838 no later than 2 days after the date of the newspaper(s) in question, so that we can address the issue for you as soon as possible.

11. You may suspend the delivery of your print newspaper(s) temporarily (“Temporary Stop”) by submitting a request through the account management portal or by calling our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838. Temporary Stop requests are subject to our discretion, and if approved, are offered to you on a goodwill basis.

(a) Any Temporary Stop requests must be submitted at least 3 working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) before its intended start date.

(b) Each Temporary Stop requested for must be for a minimum period of 3 consecutive days and cannot exceed 30 consecutive days.

(c) If you are subscribed to a Print-only package, and your Temporary Stop request is approved, we may additionally offer you a refund or credit of your subscription fees for the duration of the Temporary Stop. No refund or credit will be offered to subscribers of All-in-One packages because you will continue to have access to digital editions of your subscribed publications.

12. Even if a Temporary Stop request is approved, we cannot guarantee that all delivery personnel will carry out Temporary Stop requests without error or at all. In such event, notwithstanding clause 11(c), you remain liable to pay for all newspapers delivered to you during any Temporary Stop period requested. We will not be liable for any loss or damage which you may suffer in connection with any continued delivery of newspaper(s) or any Temporary Stop request.

 

Cancellation and termination

13. If you wish to change or cancel your subscription, you must provide us with at least 30 days’ prior notice in one of the following ways:

(a) by calling our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838;

(b) by emailing us at circs@sph.com.sg; or

(c) in writing and sent by post to “Customer Experience Team, Consumer & Audience Division, SPH Media Ltd, 1000 Toa Payoh North Annexe Level 6, News Centre, Singapore 318994”.

If you cancel your subscription in the middle of your billing cycle, no refunds will be issued to you, but you will continue to have the same access and subscriber benefits for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

14. Your subscription may be subject to a minimum subscription period, such as when you sign up for a News Tablet subscription or if you receive a gift or premium with your subscription. If a minimum subscription period applies to your subscription:

(a) You will be liable for early termination fees and administrative fees if you terminate your subscription before the expiry of the applicable minimum subscription period. Details of these fees will be found in the Additional Terms for your subscription. Early termination fees, if chargeable, will be pro-rated against the portion of the minimum subscription period that has already elapsed and for which subscription fees have been paid. 

(b) At the end of the applicable minimum subscription period, your subscription will automatically continue on the prevailing subscription terms and fee.

15. If we do not receive payment of your subscription fees on time for any reason, or if you breach any other terms and conditions for your subscription, then we may, without prejudice to our rights and remedies at law:

(a) recover any outstanding sums due from you;

(b) suspend your subscription; or

(c) terminate your subscription without further notice or obligation to you, and impose on you any applicable termination and administrative fees.

 

General matters

16. You confirm that the information provided in your subscription application form is true and correct at the point of application. If there are any changes to the information provided, you must inform us promptly by contacting our Customer Experience Team at 6388 3838, or updating your details online by logging in to your account.

17. By submitting your subscription application form, you hereby agree and consent to:

(a) the terms of our Personal Data Protection Notice which can be found at https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/pdpa as amended from time to time, and the terms of the Personal Data Protection Notice are incorporated into these Standard Terms by reference;

(b) us using and disclosing your personal data for the purposes of processing your subscription application and to provide you with the products and services you have requested. These purposes are set out in the SPH Media Personal Data Protection Notice which can be found at https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/pdpa and which may be amended from time to time; and

(c) the terms of our SPH Media Member Terms and Conditions which can be found at https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/member as amended from time to time, and the terms of the SPH Media Member Terms and Conditions are incorporated into these Standard Terms by reference. You further agree that SPH Media’s decision on all matters or disputes relating to or in connection with your subscription and any matters ancillary thereto (including without limitation payment, delivery, promotions or eligibility requirements) are final and conclusive on you. In the event of conflict between these Standard Terms and the SPH Media Member Terms and Conditions, these Standard Terms shall prevail.

18. We have the right to vary subscription or delivery fees payable or any other term relating to your subscription from time to time upon giving you reasonable prior notice.

1. 订阅条款与细则(简称“本条款与细则”)适用于您向新报业媒体及其衍生公司(“SPH Media”、“我们”或“我们的”)订阅我们出版的报章,涵盖所有订阅配套以及访问方式。我们可能会通过网站随时更改、修改或修订本条款与细则,并且您同意受这些修订的约束。

 

订阅服务

2. 您须年满 18 岁或以上才能订阅我们的报刊。若您未满 18 岁或为受监护人士(简称“未成年人”),请由您的父母或监护人代为订阅。一旦订阅,即表示您确认已年满 18 岁,且您:

(a) 以个人身份使用和订阅和/或签订合约;

(b) 代表公司使用和订阅和/或签订合约;或

(c) 作为未成年订户的监护人或父母签订合约。在此情况下,您同意以个人身份受本条款与细则约束,并对该未成年人在订阅和/或使用服务时的行为负责,且确保其遵守本条款与细则。

3. 若您订阅平板电子报配套或您的配套附带礼品或赠品,则须遵守附加条款与条件(简称“附加条款”)。附加条款与本条款与细则共同适用;若二者存在冲突,应以附加条款为准。

4. 我们处理和确认您的订阅所需时间将根据您的订阅方式而有所不同。处理及确认订阅所需的时间视订阅方式而定:

(a) 若您通过新报业媒体订阅网站订阅:我们将在收到申请后 1 天内通过电子邮件发送确认;

(b) 若您通过其他渠道(如路演、申请表、电话或经销商)订阅:我们将在收到申请后 3 至 7 个工作日内确认。

若您未提供电子邮件地址,我们将通过普通邮件确认您的订阅。这可能需要 4 至 6 个工作日。

 

订阅费与付款

5. 除另有说明外,所有订阅费均须预付。例如,若您订阅的是月费配套,则须在该月月初支付当月的订阅费。订阅费一经收取,不予退还。

6. 您可以选择通过信用卡支付订阅费。我们会在每个月初(对于月费订阅)或每个订阅年初(对于年费订阅)从您的信用卡中扣款。

(a) 若因任何原因导致到期无法成功扣款,我们可能会根据下文第 13 条规定暂停或终止您的订阅。

(b) 若您的信用卡已过期,或者您希望使用其他信用卡,须在下一次扣款日前至少 14 天通知我们。您可以拨打 6388 3838 联系我们的客户体验团队,或登录您的帐户在线更新您的信用卡信息。

7. 若您的发票/报表/记录中的支付信息出现任何差异或不准确,您必须在发票/报表出具之日起 14 天内联系我们的客户体验团队,并提供相关记录供调查,否则我们的记录将作为应付账款的最终依据,我们将不会受理与此相关的任何争议。

 

印刷版派送服务和暂停派报服务

8. 若您订阅的是印刷版报刊,您须支付派报费。派报费因派送地址而异,并根据订户账户和派送地址收取。一旦支付,派报费将不予退还。

9. 我们与供应商签订合约为您提供派报服务。报纸可能会派送至您的家门口或信箱。

10. 若遇到任何报纸未能送达的问题,请在 2 天内致电 6388 3838 联系我们的客户体验团队,以便我们尽快为处理。

11. 若您想暂时停止报纸派送服务(简称“暂停派报”),可通过账户管理平台或致电 6388 3838 向我们的客户体验团队提交申请。暂停派报申请须经审核,并视情况决定是否批:

(a) 申请须在预定开始日期前至少 3 个工作日(不含周六、周日及公众假期)提交。

(b) 每次暂停派报须至少连续 3 天,且不得超过连续 30 天。

(c) 若您订阅了印刷版配套且申请获批,我们可能会为您提供暂停期间订阅费用的退款或抵免。数码+印刷配套的订户则不会获得任何退款,因为在暂停派报期间您仍然可以阅读数码版报刊。

12. 即使“暂停派报”申请获得批准,我们亦无法保证所有派报人员均能无误执行。在这种情况下,尽管有第 11(c) 条的规定,您仍有义务支付暂停期间的订阅费用。我们对于您因暂停派报或恢复派报而可能遭受的任何损失或损害,不承担任何责任。

 

取消和终止订阅

13.若您希望更改或取消订阅,您必须提前至少 30 天通过以下任一方式通知我们:

(a) 致电我们的客户体验团队 6388 3838;

(b) 发送电子邮件至 circs@sph.com.sg;或者

(c) 以书信形式邮寄至 “Customer Experience Team, Consumer & Audience Division, SPH Media Ltd, 1000 Toa Payoh North Annexe Level 6, News Centre, Singapore 318994”。

若您在计费周期中取消订阅,我们将不予退款,但您可在当前计费周期的余下期间内,继续享有相同的访问权限及订户权益。

14. 您的订阅可能受最短订阅期的限制,例如当您订阅平板电子报配套,或您的订阅包含礼品或赠品时。若您的订阅设有最短订阅期:

(a) 若您在适用的最短订阅期届满前终止订阅,您须支付提前终止费及管理费。相关费用详情详见附加条款。若涉及提前终止费,该费用将根据最短订阅期内剩余未履行的比例计算;

(b) 在适用的最短订阅期结束后,您的订阅将自动按照现行订阅条款和费用自动延续。

15. 若我们因任何原因未按时收到您的订阅费,或者您违反任何其他订阅条款与条件,那么我们可以在不损害我们的权利和法律补救措施的情况下:

(a) 追回您欠下的任何未付款项;

(b) 暂停您的订阅;或者

(c) 终止您的订阅,恕不另行通知,也不对您承担任何义务,并向您收取适用的终止费和管理费。

 

其他事项

16. 您确认您在订阅申请表中提供的信息在申请时真实且正确。如果所提供的信息有任何变更,您须致电 6388 3838 联系我们的客户体验团队,或通过登录您的帐户在线更新。

17. 通过提交您的订阅申请表,您特此同意:

(a) 我们的个人数据保护声明可在 https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/pdpa/ 查阅,并可能不时修订,该声明已引用并入本条款与细则;

(b) 我们使用和披露您的个人数据是为了处理您的订阅申请并向您提供您所申请的产品和服务。这些目的已在新报业媒体个人数据保护声明中列出 (可在 https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/pdpa/ 查阅,并可能不时修订);和

(c) 新报业媒体会员条款与细则(可在 https://www.sph.com.sg/tnc/member 查阅,并可能不时修订)已通过引用方式并入本条款与细则。您进一步同意,新报业媒体对与您订阅相关的所有事项或争议以及任何附属事项(包括但不限于付款、交付、促销或资格要求)所作的决定均为最终决定,并对您具有约束力。若本条款与细则与新报业媒体会员条款与细则发生冲突,则以本条款与细则为准。

18. 我们有权在向您发出合理的事先通知后,随时调整订阅费、派报费或与您的订阅相关的任何其他条款之权利。
